Welcome to the APL Construction Update

Today the City of Adrian released its plans for the new look at the Adrian Public Library. The design for the new facade was unveiled, along with plans to install a coffee shop at the library, create an expanded area for teens, and open up a currently covered area on the mezzanine for comfortable seating and public use. View the new facade below. It was designed by architects Bona & Kolb to compliment the essence of Adrian's historical downtown.

It is great to see another project in downtown Adrian. I am excited about the postive impact this project will have on our town.

Congratulations! What a plan! I'm excited for not just Adrian, but for the whole county. It's especially nice when great things like this happen in such a bad economy. This will be a benefit for the for the Adrian community.

Our whole family is looking forward to the finished project. It will be wonderful to enjoy coffee while digging into a great book! Will the coffee shop be managed separately?

The City is hoping to have an outside vendor run the coffee shop. In fact, we are currently writing the RFP (Request for Proposals). The RFP will be released within a month. The City is open to all options on management of the coffee shop.
