New Doors For City Chambers

New doors were installed by Kriegoff-Lenawee on the City Chambers building this week. You may be wondering why they installed white doors with such large windows. Well, the look of the original doors on the building was recreated. This building was originally constructed by the United States Government as a Post Office in 1904. It was used as a post office from 1904 to the mid 1960's. This is why you may often hear city employees and our construction management team discussing the renovations on this building taking place at the post office.

Police Station - Inside Work

The crews from Shively-Bouma are working on the dropped ceilings, Service Electric is running wire and the painters are working on the lobby area of the new police station. The City of Adrian Police Department is expected to move into this building in the Spring of 2010. The police station is located immediately next to the Adrian Public Library and is the only new construction in the city complex project. The lot where the police station is located formerly housed various private offices which were raised earlier this year to make room for the police station and the police parking lot.

City Chambers Update

The City Chamber building is getting the finishes touches as it is expected to be ready for use in early January. Here are some photos of the electrician's from Service Electric and Krieghoff-Lenawee's crew along with some of the detail work. The detail work in this building is beautiful!
