Cafe Food Preparation Room

Over the last few weeks The Adrian Public Library has been creating a food preperation room for our new cafe vendors Betty and Sharon. They will use this area to make homemade cookies, bagels and much more. Even our mayor Greg DuMars and city administrator pitched in to help put up the walls of the food prep room under the guidance of project manager Kirk Valentine from Sphere Project Management.

Library Heritage Room HVAC Updates

Our heritage room, which houses our local history materials, recently underwent a significant update to help us preserve these materials. Chambers Controls but in a stand alone Heating, Cooling and Ventilation Unit. Masson's Electric installed the required electrical upgrades and Shively-Bouma installed the ceiling tile and extended the walls up to the deck. The goal was to create a stand alone zone that will maintain the proper heating, cooling, and humidity for historical materials.

New LED Light Fixtures in City Hall Parking Lot

Masson's Electric of Adrian and the City of Adrian DPW employees have been installing additional light poles in the south Toledo Street parking lot behind City Hall this week. The light poles use LED bulbs which run more efficiently and for significantly longer periods of time before needing replacement.

Fencing and Flowers

Check out the beautiful mums City Parks and Forestry workers recently planted in the flower bed behind City Hall. Fencing from Adrian's Dale's Fencing is now being installed around the flower beds and along the north side of the parking lot behind City Hall to help maintain the area.

Flag Poles Installed Behind City Hall

Flag Poles were installed by City of Adrian DPW workers with the assistance of the rigging from the company who replaced the roof on City Hall.

Flags and Flowers in the Courtyard Behind City Hall

The area behind City Hall was filled in recently with brick, concrete and flowerbeds to create a courtyard. This will allow the area to be used by parks and recreation and the library for music events, movies, and other events.

Landscaping for City Hall Parking Lot

Today our City of Adrian Parks and Forestry employees planted Elm trees along the edges of the parking lot and Spruce trees down the middle of the lot.
